Sale Of Tea Estate 185 Acres Details Of The Estate
The estate is a property located in the ‘Golden Valley’ of the Bogawantalawa Planting area which comes within the Nuwara Eliya district and is one of the best tea planting districts in Sri Lanka.
It is situated at approximately 5,150 feet above mean sea level and is surrounded by misty mountains and bordered by the ‘Bogo Jungle’ and the famous ‘Fordyce Gap’. It is blessed with salubrious climate and breath taking views and is a short driveway from Nuwara Eliya or Little England, which was referred to by the British.
On the drive to Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, which club house built 1889, approximately 73 Kilometers from the estate, one passes the famous St. Clair and Devon waterfalls and the world famous Adam’s Peak mountain which is one of Sri Lanka’s Buddhist cultural heritages which are picturesque sights and tourists attractions.
The plantation comprises 185 acres of which 60 acres are planted with VP (Vegetative Propagated Plants) and 110 acres of China seedlings famous for its unique quality and flavor. The balance 15 acres comprises jungle, shrub land, hardwood plantation comprising 800 Eucalyptus (Gum Trees) buildings and garden.
BUILDINGS
The main bungalow (Managers’/Proprietors) comprises of 04 bedrooms and bathrooms, large dining room, hall and verandah, 03 store rooms and a kitchen. The other buildings are the Asst. Manager’s bungalow, The estate office and 07 estate worker’s living quarters (line rooms) totaling 70 rooms.
PRODUCTION
The estate produces approximately 45,000 kilos of green leaf per month and has the potential to be increased by another 15-20,000 kilos per month.

The estate has a stream running through it, which originates from the jungles above which carries pure crystal clean clear mineral water, which could be used for commercial water bottling project. The lower area of the stream could be dammed and developed for inland fish farming (trout, carp etc.)
