Lagos which is situated on the western part of the Algarve also has a lot of history. Throughout the years Lagos has become a respected holiday destination for many tourists. Also Lagos offers time on the beaches and a couple of excursions which take you to the interesting towns of the region. In the town there is also sufficient restaurants to eat well and somewhere different every night.

There is a local market on Saturday mornings in a building near the bus station in Lagos. It also has fresh fruits and vegetables, olives, honey, figs, almonds and much more. It’s quite a small market, but very popular and cheap
